"The new zero percent interest loan"

PTZ +, a new measure of government support for homeownership, replacing PTZ, the Pass-Land and the deduction of loan interest, came into force on 1 January 2011.

PTZ + is a loan repayable without interest (those one being supported by the state) and without charges.

The new zero-percent interest loan is still reserved to purchasers of a principal residence in primary accession (the purchaser must not have owned their principal residence during the last two years)

PTZ + broadens its target to a larger number of households because it is not dependent on a maximum of resources

The new zero-percent interest loan can help to reduce monthly payments, or to increase the borrowing capacity as it allows financing up to 40% of the acquisition and repayment can be spread from 5 to 30 years, depending on the resources of the buyer, household composition and location of the property and its energy label.

The amount of funding takes into account certain criteria:
- The total cost of the operation
- If it is a new or old property
- Household size,
- Geographic location of the property, 4 zones have been defined: A, B1, B2, C
- The energy performance of the property, the less the house energy consumption is , the more the amount of PTZ + will be high.
- If it is an old property originally belonging to a real estate agency of public housing or a mixed economy company building and managing social rooms.
